Decaf Sumatra Mandheling is a Grade 1 coffee processed using the Mountain Water method. It is carefully selected for its cup profile, physical preparation, and its ability to maintain excellent character after decaffeination.
Wet-hulled Sumatra coffees are known for their soft, round mouthfeel and heavy body. They typically have low acidity and a distinctive earthy, spicy profile.
The decaffeination process softens some of the spice notes, allowing nutty, chocolate flavors to emerge. The result is a smoother, cleaner cup.
